Rice Friends Unite to Fight Against Hunger at the 18th Annual Walk for Rice

A FREE 2.5 mile walk and fun-run that benefits the Asian Counseling and Referral Service Food Bank. Our goal is to raise $115,000!


When
Saturday, June 21, 2008, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. RAIN OR SHINE, be prepared to Walk for Rice!

Why
The ACRS Food Bank supplies culturally-appropriate foods to 5,000 low-income Asian Pacific American households each month. Rice prices have increased nearly 14 percent in just three months. Without additional funding, that 14 percent inflation will prevent ACRS from serving 694 households each month.


Who
All ages are welcome – and so are friendly, leashed dogs.
